Fame.

I was having a late conversation when this topic was being discussed.

Which one you choose: fame or passion?

I've been teaching for number of years so far. I think I've been speaking in front of thousands of students so far and the reason why I do this is passion. Yeap. Not fame. Imagine if thousands of them become my fanbase, I might be one of a few people who've been known to lots of people because of what they do.

But no, I do it because I like my job.

I met several people who asked the similar question: why I want to become a teacher? Why I don't work at a firm or run my own business?

The reason is I like to teach. This might come from my mother who used to teach at a junior high. I used to grade her exams and even type them (years back computer was so hi-tech, we used typewriter to type them).

And look what I become now. With passion people know me, they (most of them, I hope) respect me for what I do and not for who I am.

So, does it worth to have passion? Of course. Even if it can't feed you well, but it still can feed you. Although it can't provide you with a restaurant food on your table, but hey, it surely can give you the price of food vendors who are more delicious than the expensive one.

What I'm saying is, fame will follow if you follow your passion. In the end, do what you like and the rest will come to you. Don't worry about the time. It's just time. For sometime, it will tick a bit slow than usual, but at the other time, they will tick fast and you will see that they will give you satisfaction.

And you are not pathetic. You are as grace as an angel from God. Keep faith and be passionate about who you are and what you do.
